Robert Palmer to be LWC director of bands

Robert Palmer, above, says that he and his wife, Bekah, are excited about living in Southcentral Kentucky, especially because of the region's reputation for fielding some of the best high school bands in the commonwealth.

"It is such a wonderful opportunity to be in the heart of high school band country, where I will get to interact with other band professionals, especially the Adair County High School Band," said Palmer. "I've known of the Adair County High School Band for decades, and I have nothing but respect for their world-class program."

CACVFD firefighters on WHAS

CACVFD firefighters present Adair County's 2025 Crusade for Children fundraising totals at WHAS in Louisville. Grant says, "We are proud to announce that our total for the 2025 WHAS Crusade For Children is $64,971.33! That total is the most we have ever raised in one year, and is 30.41% over last year!"

Along the Lanterns and Tombstones Tour

Mike says, "With a steady rain falling, we had a smaller group than usual but all came prepared with umbrellas and ponchos and so, Lanterns and Tombstones S4E3 went off as scheduled on Friday evening, June 6, 2025. Given the circumstances, it was a success!"
