A plaque honoring Deputy Sheriff Joshua Phipps. On September 16, 2024, Deputy Phipps was aiding state troopers in a foot search for an armed and dangerous suspect with several outstanding warrants in Adair and Russell county. Deputy Phipps was ambushed and killed by the suspect.

Displays at the Adair County Public Library and the Adair County Genealogy History and Research Center offer information about the US Constitution to celebrate Constitution Week, which starts on September 17, 2025. Robert writes, "An up-close view of blooming thistles with a spray of goldenrod for a backdrop. I didn't notice the ants on the thistle until I got home from the walk and reviewed the photos."
