Spirit of Columbia awards to CPD officer, Deputy Sheriff

The second annual Spirit Of Columbia awards focused on service, sacrifice, and the value of public safety in Columbia and Adair County. Both Drew Conn and Hunter Tweedy were honored with awards. The program read, "In August 21, 2025, Deputy Sheriff Hunter Tweedy and Assistant Police Chief Drew Conn responded to an injury accident at the intersection of HWY 551 and Holmes Bend Road. Upon arrival Deputy Tweedy and Assistant Chief Conn found that a motorcycle operator had life threatening bleeding and immediately applied a tourniquet, stopping the bleeding and saving the man's life." From left are: Deputy Hunter Tweedy, Anthony Curry, Adair County Sheriff Gary Roy, Asst. Chief Drew Conn, and CPD Chief of Police Evan Burton.
