Lena Bell Harmon Dial of Green County passed away on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at her home. She was 101 years old.
The funeral services for Lena Bell Dial will be conducted at NoonCT on Friday, July 23, 2021 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S. Main St., Greensburg, KY, with Bro. Dannie Nelson and Bro. Leslie Jewell officiating. Burial will follow in the Columbia City Cemetery in Adair County.
Visitation is requested from 4pmCT until 8pmCT on Thursday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, and after 7amCT on Friday until time for the funeral service.
Lena Bell Harmon Dial, daughter of the late Wills Harmon and Mary Jane Bryant Harmon, was born on Wednesday, September 10, 1919 in Adair County, Kentucky.
She had made a profession of faith in Christ, attended the Holly Grove Baptist Church and was a homemaker.
She united in marriage to Lucian Dial on August 15, 1936 who preceded her in death on September 26, 1974.
Survivors include five sons and four daughters-in-law: William & Josie Dial of Greensburg, Luther & Brenda Dial of Summersville, Johnnie & Regina Dial, Bobby Dial all of Green County, Billy & Leeta Dial of Campbellsville; four daughters and sons-in-law: Cora Mae & David Armer of Green County, Magaline & James Skaggs of Campbellsville, Sue & Bill Murrey of Green County, and Janie & Jim Borders of Campbellsville; a son-in-law: Larry Eads of Summersville; 21 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; 15 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Dial was also preceded in death by a daughter: Doris Eads on September 30, 2010; and three brothers and five sisters.
The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Holly Grove Baptist Church, which can be made at the funeral home.
