Cook appointed to the Judicial Conduct Commission By Nicole Burton Frankfort, KY - Gov. Matt Bevin has appointed Betty Barnes Cook to the Judicial Conduct Commission. Cook, from Somerset, KY, is a family home provider for special needs. She will serve for a term expiring Jan. 1, 2020. The Judicial Conduct Commission is the only entity authorized under the Kentucky Constitution to take disciplinary action against a sitting Kentucky judge. The Commission investigates and reviews complaints against judges and, when warranted, conducts hearings regarding the alleged misconduct where evidence is presented.
