He was a retired Maintence Worker for Corp. of Engineers and a lifetime member of the Mt. Vernon Missionary Baptist Church in Jamestown, KY. Harold Roderick Wheat, Jr. 72, of Russell Springs, KY passed away on Saturday September 22nd at the Hosparus Care Center at Nortons in Louisville, KY. Funeral Services will be at the Mt. Vernon Missionary Baptist Church, Hwy 619, Jamestown, KY, at 2pmCT on Wednesday, September 26th, 2018, with Bro. Stan Milby officiating. Burial will follow in the Wheat Cemetery, in Jamestown, KY. Friends may visit after 9amCT at the church on Wednesday. He was born in Jamestown, KY on February 21, 1946, a son of the late Enola (Blakey) and Harold Roderick Wheat. He served in the U.S. Army in the Vietnam War. He was a retired Maintence Worker for Corp. of Engineers and a lifetime member of the Mt. Vernon Missionary Baptist Church in Jamestown, KY.
