She was a native of Burkesville, KY, and a resident of Glasgow, KY, at the time of her death. She was a daughter of the late Clarence Richard Branham & Ruby Anderson, Glasgow, KY, who survives. She was the matriarch of a large, widely known family. She leaves 19 direct living descendants.

Hilda Mae Branham Baker, 72, of Glasgow, KY, died Wednesday, September 12, 2018, at her residence.

Cremation was chosen by the family. A memorial will be held at a later date. McMurtrey Funeral Home, 2232 Summer Shade Road, Summer Shade, KY, is in charge of arrangements.

Born July 7, 1946 in Burkesville, Cumberland County, KY, she was a daughter of the late Clarence Richard Branham & Ruby Anderson, Glasgow, KY, who survives. She died Wednesday, September 12, 2018, in Glasgow, Barren County, KY, at the age of 72 years, two months, and five days.

She was a homemaker.

Survivors other than her mother, include:
  • Two daughters - Ruby Gail Baker and Tina (William) Anderson, both of Glasgow, KY

  • One son - Joe Baker. Franklin, KY

  • Five sisters - Runelle Davidson, Louise Rose, Peggy Meredith, Sadie Phelps and Nancy Robinson

  • Seven grandchildren - Catalina Baker, Carlee Jo Baker, Ben Norris, Brandy Anderson, Tia Anderson, Doug Baker and Michael Ray Baker

  • And nine great grandchildren
She was preceded in death besides her father, by one sister, Helen Faye Jennings and her stepfather Dempsey Anderson.
