She had retired from Holley Carburetor in Bowling Green, KY. She was born in Louisville, KY, and was a resident of Breeding, KY, at the time of her death in Columbia, KY. She was the daughter of the late Ralph Avery & Edna Moore Young. She leaves many relatives widespread in Kentucky, as well as her fur baby, Binkie, to mourn her passing.

Barbara "Barbie" Faye Young, 74, of Breeding, KY, died Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at 6:16amCT, at TJ Health/Columbia Emergency Room. Columbia, KY.

Barbie requested cremation and a memorial service will be held later. Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY, is in charge of arrangements.



Barbara "Barbie" Faye Young, 74, Breeding, KY (1944-2018)


She was born July 26, 2018 in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Ralph Avery & Edna Moore Young. She died Tuesday, September 11, 2018, in Columbia, Adair County, KY at the age of 74 years, one month, and 16 days.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister; Deborah Young.

She retired from Holley Carburetor in Bowling Green, KY

Survivors include:

  • One brother - Alfred Young (Linda) of Bowling Green, KY

  • One niece - Ayla Hargis (Tim Taylor) of Breeding, KY

  • Three nephews - Brian Young (Shondus) and Jim Young all of Bowling Green, KY; and Brent Young (Lisa) of Morgantown, KY

  • Ten great-nieces and great-nephews - Payten, Paris, Cameron, Cloe, Sara, Seth, Gage, Chad, Brittany and Dillon

  • Her fur baby - Binkie

  • Her special friends at A-1 Transportation, Intrepid Home Health and Fresenius of Campbellsville

  • Several other relatives and friends
Barbie requested Cremation and a memorial service will be held later
