He had made a profession of faith in Christ and attended the Summershade United Methodist Church. He was formerly employed with the Wynn Milling Company. He was a native of Green County, KY, and a resident of the county at the time of his death in Somerset, Pulaski County, KY. He was the son of the late Cova Morgan & Cecilia Vanarsdale Morgan. His wife of 48 yeas, Carolyn Sue Simpson Morgan, survives. He leaves 10 direct living descendants.

Robert W. Morgan, age 66, of Green County, KY, passed away on Saturday at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, KY.

The funeral services will be conducted at 2pmCT Wednesday, Setpember 12, 2018 and the Cowherd & Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S Main Street, Greensburg, KY with burial in the Greasy Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3-8pmCT Tuesday and after 7amCT Wednesday at the funeral home.



Pallbearers - Justin Morgan, Keith Morgan, Ronnie Morgan, Haskel Runyon, Dewayne Neal, and Bro. Bill Davenport.

Mr. Robert W. Morgan of Green County, KY was the son of the late Cova Morgan & Cecilia Vanarsdale Morgan, He was born on Thursday, September 6, 1952 in Green County, KY, and departed this life on Saturday, September 8, 2018 in Somerset, Pulaski County, KY, at the age of 66 years and two days of age.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and attended the Summershade United Methodist Church. He was formerly employed with the Wynn Milling Company.

He is survived by
  • His wife of 48 years - Carolyn Sue Simpson Morgan, of Green County

  • Three sons & a daughter-in-law - Tony & Stacy Morgan, Keith Morgan, and Justin Morgan, all of Green County

  • Five grandchildren

  • Two great-grandchildren

  • Four sisters and three brothers-in-law - Darlene Bastin of Tennessee, Saron Fay & Clyde Gibson of Shephardsville, Donna Jo & Greg Muse of Glasgow, and Suzanne & Haskel Runyin of Hiseville, KY

  • Two brothers and one sister-in-law - David L. Morgan of Bowling Green, KY; and Ronnie & Grace Morgan of Hiseville, KY

  • A host of other relatives and friends
