She professed faith in Christ and was a member of East Campbellsville Church of God. Caroline loved her church and singing in the choir but above all, she loved her boys and spending time with her family and grandkids. She married Gordon Jones and he preceded her in death.

Caroline Jones of Campbellsville, KY died Wednesday, September 5, 2018 in Campbellsville at age 76.

Her funeral will be at 10amCT/11amET Monday, September 10, 2018 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville by Valerie Hunt. Visitation will be from 4-7pmCT/5-8pmET Sunday, September 9, 2018 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Benningfield Cemetery.



Caroline Davis Jones, Taylor County, KY (1942-2018)

The daughter of the late Oscar Davis and Thelma Sinclair Davis, she was born August 19, 1942 in Jefferson County, KY. She died at 7:20pmET Wednesday, September 5, 2018 in Campbellsville at age 76.

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of East Campbellsville Church of God. Caroline loved her church and singing in the choir but above all, she loved her boys and spending time with her family and grandkids.

Caroline married Gordon Jones and he preceded in her in death.

She is survived by
  • Two sons - Billy Petty and wife, Catherine and Gary Petty and wife, Janice of Louisville

  • Six grandchildren - Angie Gossman and husband, Jamie, Gary W. Petty, Topher Petty and husband, Justin, Jamie Bensing, John Bensing and Jeremy Bensing and wife, Sierra, all of Louisville

  • Twelve great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren

  • Four brothers and three sisters - Darrell Davis and wife, Ethel, Keith Davis and Freida Cox and husband, Joe of Campbellsville, Rodney Davis of Louisville, Terry Davis and Charlotte Murphy and husband, Greg of Finley and Cynthia Truitt of Lebanon, Tennessee.
She was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother: Cheryl Benningfield, Linda Cox and Mark Davis.
