He was the widower of Marlene S. Gaskins, Russell Springs, KY (1965-2017) He leaves eight living descendants. His final resting place will be Jemestown, Russell County, KY.

Jonah Lee Gaskins, 65,of Russell Springs, KY passed away on Friday at Baptist Health in Lexington, KY.

Funeral Services will be at H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel, 202 N Main Street, Jamestown, KY on Wednesday, September 5, 2018, at 11amCT, with Bro. Billy Dunbar officiating. Friends may visit Tuesday afer 5pmCT, at the funeral home. Burial in the Jamestown Cemetery, 201 N Main Street, Jamestown, KY.

Jonah Lee Gaskins, 65, Russell County, KY (1952-2018)

He was born in Indianapolis, Marion County, IN, on September 8, 1952 a son of the late Jim Gaskins & Emma (Wells) Glover, who survives, of Russell Springs, KY. He died Friday, August 31, 2018, in Lexington, Fayette County, KY, at the age of 65 years, 11 months, and eight days.

In addition to his mother, he is also survived by

  • Four daughters - Holly (Tyler) York, of Jamestown, KY; Barbara and Shelia Gaskins, of Brazil, IN, and Penny (Ben) Karn, of Spencer, IN

  • A brother - Jimmy Gaskins, of Indianapolis, IN

  • Two sisters - Brenda Gaskins, of Liberty, KY, and Patricia Kelly, of Russell Springs, KY

  • Two grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his father; his wife Marlene S. Gaskins, Russell Springs, KY (1965-2017), son Gary Lee Gaskins, and a sister Linda Keeling.
