She was born in Louisville, KY, was a resident of Russell Springs, KY, at the time of her death in Somerset, KY. She was the matriarch of a highly regarded family. She was the daughter of the late Daisey & William Dwyer. Her husband, John L. Williams, survives. She leaves eight direct living descendants. Her final resting place will be in Jamestown, Russell County, KY.

Mary W. Williams, 75, of Russell Springs, KY passed away on Thursday, August 30, 2018, at the Jean Waddle Care Center, Somerset, KY.

Funeral services will be at H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel, 202 N Main Street, Jamestown, KY on Sunday, September 2, 2018 at 3pmCT, with Bro. Tony Stephens officiating. Friends may visit after 12pmNoonCT on Sunday at the funeral home. Burial in the Jamestown Cemetery, 201 N Main Street, Jamestown, KY.

Mary was born in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY, May 1, 1943. She was a daughter of the late Daisey (Caroll) & William Dwyer. She died Thursday, August 30, 2018, at the age of 75 years, four months, and 29 days.

Mary is survived by:
  • Her husband - John L. Williams, of Russell Springs, KY

  • Her three daughters - Carolyn Tarter, of Russell Springs, KY; Johnna wife of Dr. James Popplewell, of Jamestown, KY, and Luanne wife of Tim Adams, of Jamestown, KY

  • Sister - Nancy Diebold Kimmel, of Louisville, KY

  • Three grandchildren

  • Two great grandchildren

  • as well as a host of nieces and nephews
She ws preceded in death by her parents, and granddaughter Billie Carol Murray.
