5th Revisit Knifley Festival Fri & Sat 7 & 8 Sep 2018 By Debra Cowan It's Revisit Knifley time! The homecoming and festival will begin Friday, September 7, 2018 with a children's pageant and gospel singing and will continue Saturday, September 8, 2018, with great events for the entire family. This is the 5th year for the festival and lots of great activities are being planned. Visitors to the festival will find an eclectic mix of vendor booths including crafts, decorative items, jewelry and some good old junk that can become a new treasure. There will be great food booths available throughout the day and a country ham breakfast beginning at 6amCT, in the old school building. Kids will be able to take advantage of lots of free entertainment including a petting zoo, face painting, inflatables and train rides. Other activities include a 5K run/walk, kids pedal tractor pull, a car show and tractor show and a motorcycle show and ride. Knifley history will be on display in the former Knifley Grade Center. There will be a special veteran's recognition event at 12:30, live music throughout the day and an auction at 5:00. The event concludes at dark with a great fireworks show presented by Casey Creek Pyrotechnics. All events will take place in "down town" Knifley, near the intersection of HWY 551 and Hwy 76 and on the campus of the former Knifley Grade Center School, 12190 Knifley Road. Everyone is invited to come and enjoy food, fun and friends. Organizers of the event are still accepting vendors and looking for volunteers.
