Jimmie Donald Hubbard, 78, Metcalfe Co., KY (1939-2018)

He was a businessman and a member of the Sulphur Springs Baptist Church. He was a the patriarch of a large, respected Metcalfe County, KY family. He was the son of the late Belevedere & Dorothy D. Romines Hubbard, and the widower of Ruth Smith Hubbard. He leaves 53 direct living descendants. His final resting place will be in the Sulphur Springs Cemetery in the Beechville Community of Metcalfe County.

Jimmie Donald Hubbard age 78 of Edmonton departed this life on Thursday August 23, 2018 at his home.

Funeral services will be held 2pmCT, Sunday, August 26, 2018, at Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY, with burial in the Sulphur Springs Cemetery at Beechville. Visitation will be 5pm-8pmCT, Saturday, August 25, 2018, and after 9amCT, Sunday at the funeral home.

He was the son of the late Belvedere B. Hubbard & Dorothy D. Romines Hubbard. He was born October 14, 1939. He died Thursday, August 23, 2018, in Edmonton, KY, at the age of 78 years, 10 months, and nine days.

He was a business owner and a member of the Sulphur Springs Baptist Church.

Mr. Hubbard is survived by:
  • Five sons - Jimmie R. (Cindy) Hubbard, Louis H. (Samantha) Hubbard, Daryl Hubbard, Alvin (Lisa) Hubbard, and Stephen (Teresa) Hubbard, all of Edmonton, KY

  • Two daughters - Michelle (Robert) Coffey, and Donna (Todd) Mosher all of Edmonton, KY

  • A daughter-in-law - Bonnie also of Edmonton, KY

  • One brother - Johnny Hubbard

  • Two sisters - Carolyn England and June Fields

  • Twenty three grandchildren

  • Twenty great grandchildren

  • And three great great grandchildren
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Ruth Smith Hubbard; a son, Timothy D. Hubbard; and two great great grandchildren, Madison Saunders and Jeremy Hubbard.
