Sue (Trulock) Blaydes, 75, Metcalfe Co., KY (1942-2018)

November 10, 1942 ~ August 19, 2018 (Age 75)
She was a former custodian in the Metcalfe county school system and was a member of the Sulphur Well United Methodist Church. She was the daughter of the late Romey Trulock & Daisy Smith Trulock, and the widow of James Blaydes. She was the matriarch of a large, respected North Metcalfe family. She leaves eight direct and two step living descendants.

Sue Blaydes age 75 of Edmonton, KY, departed this life on Sunday August 19, 2018 at the NHC Healthcare in Glasgow, KY.

Funeral services will be held at 11amCT, Wednesday, August 22, 2018, at the Sulphur Well United Methodist Church, 1755 Sulphur Well-Knob Lick Road, Sulphur Well, KY, with burial in the Maple Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 4pm-8pmCT, Tuesday, August 21, at Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY, and after 9amCT, Wednesday at the church.

She was the daughter of the late Romey Trulock & Daisy Smith Trulock. She was born November 10, 1942. She died Sunday, August 19, 2018, at the age of 75 years, nine months, and nine days.

She was a former custodian in the Metcalfe county school system and was a member of the Sulphur Well United Methodist Church.

She is survived by:
  • Three sons - Jeff (Sandy) Blaydes of Glasgow, KY; Todd (Christie) Blaydes of Center, KY; and David (Carmen) Blaydes of Glasgow, KY

  • Two step children - Perry (Denice) Blaydes of Campbellsville, KY; and Twana (Ronnie) Blaydes of Virginia

  • One brother - Garland Trulock of Temple Hill, KY

  • One sister - Marlyn Clark of Cave City, KY

  • Three grandchildren - Jeffrey Blaydes, Allcia Blaydes, and Kelsey Blaydes

  • Two great grandchildren - Greyson Blaydes and and Cole Carmichael
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband James Blaydes, two sisters Loretta Garland and Norma Turner, a brother John Paul Trulock, and a step daughter Rita Bilger.
