She had made a profession of faith in Christ and attended the Living Waters Church of Greensburg, KY. She was a greeter at the Old Courthouse in Greensburg. She was a member of a respected South Central Kentucky family. She was born in Adair County, KY, the daughter of the late Hershel & Maggie Sneed. She leaves nine direct living descendants. Her final resting place will be in Green County, at Summersville, KY.

Mrs. Virginia Francis Sneed Jones, Greensburg, KY, departed this life Thursday, August 16, 2018 at Sunrise Manor Nursing Home in Hodgenville, KY.

The funeral service will be at 1pmCT, Monday, August 20, 2018, at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home, 209 W Court Street, Greensburg, KY. Visitation will be 11am-1pmCT, Monday, August 20, 2018 Minister will be Rev. Marvin Janes. Burial will be in Green County Memory Garden, Summersville, KY. Pallbearers will be Christopher Jones, Noah Jones, Ethan Jones and Will Jones.

Mrs. Virginia Francis Sneed Jones was born March 4, 1937 in Adair County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Hershel & Maggie Sneed. She departed this life Thursday, August 16, 2018, in Hodgenville, LaRue County, KY, having attained the age of 81 years, five months and 12 days.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and attended the Living Waters Church of Greensburg, KY. She was a greeter at the Old Courthouse in Greensburg.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Bert and Clavis Sneed.

She is survived by:
  • Three sons and two daughters-in-law - Wayne and Donna Jones of Louisville, KY; David Jones of Greensburg, KY; and Dean and Lynnette Jones of Louisville, KY

  • One sister and brother-in-law - Montry and Bill Harris of Greensburg, KY

  • Two sisters-in-law - Mary Jo Sneed of Campbellsville, KY; and Faye Sneed of Greensburg, KY

  • Four grandchildren - Christopher, Brandon, Nina and Will

  • Two great grandchildren - Noah and Ethan

  • Plus a host of other relatives and friends.
