He was a truck driver and a member of Solid Rock Baptist Church. He was a member of a highly regarded family centered around Clementsville, KY. He was the son of the late Kester & Eula Moxley Hayes. His wife, Ruby Aliene Hayes survives. He leaves 13 direct living descendants. His final resting place will be in Hustonville Cemetery.

Talmage Odell Hayes age 85, of Campbellsville, KY, formerly of Liberty passed away on Saturday August 11, 2018 at the Grandview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Campbellsville.

Funeral Services will be held 1pmCT/2pmET, Tuesday August 14, 2018 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel, 142 KY Hwy 49, Liberty, KY, with Bro. Dwight Coffman and Bro Brad Teubart officiating. Burial will in the Hustonville Cemetery, Hustonville, KY. Visitation will be 5pm-7pmCT/6pm-8pmET, Monday August 13, 2018 and after 7amCT/8amET, on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel.

He was born in Clementsville, KY on May 13, 1933. He was a son of the late Kester & Eula Moxley Hayes. He died Saturday, August 11, 2018, in Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY, at the age of 85 years, two months, and 29 days.

He was a truck driver and a member of Solid Rock Baptist Church.

Survivors include:
  • His spouse - Ruby Aliene Hayes

  • One son - Stanley and (Brenda F.) Hayes of Liberty, KY

  • One daughter - Marcella & (Richard) Davis of Liberty, KY

  • Four grandchildren

  • Seven great grandchildren

  • Four sisters - Denelda Herron, Virginia Ann Emerson, Sue Henson and Sharlene Blevins all of Liberty, KY

  • Two nieces - Belinda Peyton and Robin Emerson

  • And a cousin - Buel Hayes
Preceding him in death besides his parents were two brothers, David and John Hayes; and one sister, Anita Stafford.
