Dennie Murray, 67, Knifley, Adair County, KY (1951-2018)

She attended the Knifley Brethren in Christ Church. She enjoyed reading, gardening and spending time with family and friends. She was the beloved matriarch of a close knit family. She was a native of Adair County, KY, the daughter of the late David Lee & Bonnie Lou Hardwick Giles. Her husband, Robert Murray, Knifley, KY, survives. Her direct descendants include two daughters and two sons, and grandchildren.

Funeral service will be Sunday, August 12, 2018 at 2pmCT, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Tony Streeval the officiating clergy. Interment in the Caldwell Chapel Cemetery, 2705 Caldwell Ridge Road, Knifley, KY. The family will receive friends after 9amCT, on Sunday at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home.




Dennie Murray, 67, Knifley, Adair County, KY (1951-2018)


She was born in Adair County, Kentucky on January 16, 1951. She was the daughter of the late David Lee & Bonnie Lou Hardwick Giles. She died Thursday, August 9, 2018, in Liberty, Casey County, KY, at the age of 67 years, six months, and 24 days.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by one son, Michael "Mickey" Pyles on August 4, 2011.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Murray of Knifley, KY and the following:
  • Two daughters - Angela Brumley (Randall) of Jamestown, KY and Becky Lawson of Russell Springs, KY

  • Two sons - Jeff Pyles (Jennifer) of Knifley, KY; and Dusty Pyles (Jessica) of Knifley, KY

  • Grandchildren survive

  • One brother - Charles "Frog" Giles (Joyce) of Knifley, KY

  • One sister - Judy Pyles of Knifley, KY

  • Several nieces and nephews

  • And a other relative and friends
Dennie attended the Knifley Brethren in Christ Church, she enjoyed reading, gardening and spending time with family and friends.
