Lillie O. Buckman, 83, Taylor Co., KY/Adair County, KY native (1935-2018)

She retired from Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville after 32 years of service. Afterward, she was blessed to be able to take care of the elderly, which was her true passion, even from a young age. When she wasn't taking care of her family, she found relaxation in tending her garden and flowers. She was a believer in Christ and was of the Baptist faith.

Lillie O. Buckman of Campbellsville, KY died at 6:50pmCT Thursday, August 2, 2018 in Greensburg, KY at the age of 83.

The funeral service will be hed at 10amCT/11amET Monday, August 6, 2018 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY, by Bro. Rueal Boils. Burial will follow in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens. Visistation will be from 4-7pmCT/5-8pmET Sunday, August 5, 2018 at the funeral home.



Lillie O. Buckman, 83, Taylor County, KY (1935-2018)

Lillie O. Buckman of Campbellsville, KY, daughter of the late Willie Virgil Gabbert & Bessie Pearline Thomas Gabbert, was born January 29, 1935, in Adair County, KY. She died Thursday, August 2, 2018 in Greensburg, KY at the age of 83 years, six months, and four days.

She was a believer in Christ and was of the Baptist faith.

Lillie was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville after thirty-two years of service. After retirement, she was blessed to be able to take care of the elderly, which was her true passion, even from a young age. When she wasn't taking care of her family, she found relaxation in tending her garden and flowers.

She is survived by
  • Two sons - Charles Buckman, Jr. and wife, Nancy, of Campbellsville, KY, and Ronald Buckman and wife, Vickie, of Greensburg, KY

  • Seven grandchildren - J. T. Buckman and wife, Jennifer of Campbellsville, KY; Matt Buckman and wife, Nichole of Franklin, KY; Emilie Murrey of Campbellsville, KY; and Samantha Dunbar and husband, Dannie of Washington

  • Four great-grandchildren - Ayden Stagner, James Buckman, Rory Buckman, Lena Murrey, Jase Dunbar, Jameson Dunbar and Gavin Buckman and an expected great-grandson, George Buckman

  • One brother and three sisters - Paul David Gabbert of Knifley, KY; Jewell Watson and Dollie Cox of Campbellsville, KY; and Ethel Marie Raims of Chattanooga, TN

  • Several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends
She was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister - Samuel Gabbert, Joel Gabbert and Nora Pearl Gabbert and the father of her children, Charles Brockman, Sr.
