Kenneth Dale Roy, 70, Casey County, KY (1948-2018)

Kenneth was a welder. He sang and played guitar for The Bluegrass Pioneers band for several years. He was of the Christian faith. Kenneth also enjoyed hunting. He was a native of Casey County, KY, and a resident of the county ata the time of his death. He was a son of the late Hubert & Moneda Wilson Roy. His wife, Judy Gibson Roy, survives. He leaves 13 direct living descendants.

Kenneth Dale Roy, of Liberty, passed away on Thursday, August 2, 2018, at his residence. He was 70 years of age.

The funeral service will be held at 11amCT/12noonET on Saturday, August 4, 2018, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY with Max Vitori officiating. Burial will follow in Roy Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:30-6:30pmCT/5:30-7:30pmET on Friday, August 3, 2018, at the funeral home.



Pallbearers will be Dylan Reynolds, Tyler Reynolds, Alex Reynolds, Jordan Durham, Elijah Fraley, Brandon Roy, Brittany Roy and Haylee Roy.

Kenneth Dale Roy, 70, Casey County, KY (1948-2018)

Born on February 16, 1948, in Casey County, KY, he was a son of the late Hubert & Moneda Wilson Roy. He died Thursday, August 2, 2018, in Liberty, KY, at the age of 70 years, five months, and 17 days.

Kenneth was a welder. He sang and played guitar for The Bluegrass Pioneers band for several years. He was of the Christian faith. He also enjoyed hunting.

He is survived by
  • His wife, Judy Gibson Roy

  • Two daughters, Lisa Rose Durham of Danville, KY, and Melissa Ann Royston of Hustonville

  • Two sons, Ryan Dale Roy of Liberty, KY, and Andrew Jason (Tammy) Reynolds of Jamestown, KY

  • Nine grandchildren

  • Three sisters, Jacklin Bernard of Liberty, Dixie Rigney of Winchester and Sharon Dunbar of Russell Springs

  • One brother, Garland Roy of Liberty
In addition to his parents, Kenneth is preceded in death by a brother, Ralph Roy.
