Cora Orlena Fraser, 88, Metcalfe County, KY (1929-2018)

She was a native of the Red Lick community of Metcalfe County, KY, a graduate of Edmonton High School and a wonderful friend. She was a member of one of South Central Kentucky's great families, the daughter of Carl & Orlena Fraser. She was a homemaker and a member of Edmonton Baptist Church.

Cora Orlena Fraser age 88, of Edmonton passed away Saturday, July 21, 2018 at Diversacare in Glasgow, KY.

Funeral services will be held 1pmCT, Tuesday, July 24, 2018, at Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY, with burial in the Metcalfe County Memorial Gardens, Edmonton, KY. Visitation will be 5pm-8pmCT, and after 9amCT, Tuesday at the funeral home.




Cora Orlena Fraser, 88, Metcalfe County, KY (1929-2018)

She was the daughter of the late Carl & Mary Orlena Bell Fraser. She was born November 22, 1929. She died July 21, 2018, in Glasgow, Barren County, KY, at the age of 88 years, seven months, and 29 days.

She was a homemaker and member of the Edmonton Baptist Church.

She is survived by:
  • One sister, Sue Hood of Glasgow, KY

  • One nephew and six nieces: Gary (Norma Jean) Phillips of Edmonton, KY; Kay (Rick) Hope of Summer Shade, KY; Pam (Gary) Grubbs of Glasgow, KY; Carla Leedy of Bowling Green, KY; Dr. Mary Hood of New Orleans, LA; Kelly (Tim) Beals of Glasgow, KY; and Linda (Mike) Jessee of Louisville, KY

  • Several great nieces and nephews
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters, Jeanette Phillips and Virginia Janes.
