Shelby M. Wooldridge, 86, Russell County, KY (1931-2018)

December 13, 1931 - July 20, 2018 (Age 86). Affectionately known as "Shad" Wooldridge
He was a native of Jamestown, KY, and a resident of the city at the time of his death in Somerset, KY. He was a member of a respected Russell County, KY family, the son of the late Verna (Loy) & Lilburn Wooldridge. With his death, four of the nine siblings born to Verna & Lilburn survive. He the widower of Jonell Chapman Wooldridge. Although childless at his death, he was the father of a son, Shane Wooldridge, who died in infancy. His final resting place will be in the town of his birth, in Jamestown City Cemetery.

Shelby (Shad) Wooldridge, 86, of Jamestown, KY passed away Friday July 20, 2018, at the Jean Waddle Care Center in Somerset, KY.

Funeral Services for Shelby (Shad) Wooldridge will be at H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel, 202 N Main Street, Jamestown, KY, on Monday July 23, 2018 at 2pmCT, with Bro. Wendell Roberts and Bro. Roger Garner officiating. Friends may visit on Monday after 10amCT at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Jamestown City Cemetery, 201 N Main Street, Jamestown, KY.

Shelby (Shad) M. Wooldridge, 86, Russell County, KY (1931-2018)

He was born in Jamestown, Russell County, KY on December 13, 1931. He was a son of the late Verna (Loy) & Lilburn Wooldridge. He died Friday, July 20, 2018, in Somerset, Pulaski County, KY, at the age of 86 years, seven months, and seven days.

He is survived by:
  • A sister, Juanita Miller, of Jamestown, KY

  • Three brothers, Lovell Wooldridge, of Jamestown, KY; and Albert and Murrell Wooldridge, of New Castle, IN

  • And nieces and nephews
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Jonell Chapman Wooldridge, infant son Shane Wooldridge; two brothers Ulis and Loy Wooldridge, and two sisters Laverne Coe and JoAnn Morgan.
