He was a longtime farmer. He was a member of a respected Cumberland County, KY, family, the son of the late James Virgil Booher & Della Mae Cash Booher. He was a native of Cumberland County and a resident of the county at the time of his death. His final resting place will be in the Booher Cemetery.

Joe Tom Booher, age 87 of Burkesville, KY, passed away on Friday, July 20, 2018 at Cumberland County Hospital, Burkesville, KY.

The funeral service for Joe Tom Booher, will be at 2pmCT, Sunday, July 22, 2018 at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N. Main Street, Burkesville, KY with burial in the Booher Cemetery. The family requests visitation 5pm-9pmCT, Saturday, July at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home



Joe Tom Booher, 87, Burkesville, KY (1931-2018)


Joe Tom Booher was born on March 12, 1931 in Burkesville, Cumberland County, KY. He was the son of the late James Virgil Booher & Della Mae Cash Booher. He died Friday, July 20, 2018, in Burkesville, Cumberland County, KY, at the age of 87 years, four months, and eight days.

He was longtime farmer.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, Pete Booher, Willie Lee Booher, and James Everett Booher, and two sisters, Hazel Smith and Dora Johnson.

Survivors include:
  • Two sisters - Catherine Booher of Burkesville, KY; and Sallie Brierly of Arkansas

  • And a host of nieces, nephews, and many friends
