Her warm, infectious smile brightened the way of all along her way. She a devout follower of Jesus Christ, a member of Tabernacle Christian Church. She was retired from the Department for Social Services as a Service Aide. She was the member of an outstanding Adair County, KY, family. She was the daughter of the late Audy & Annie Campbell Sanders. Her husband, Nathan Giles, survives. She leaves 27 living descendants.

Margaret Giles, 82, of Columbia, KY, died Thursday, July 12, 2018 at 6:55pmET, at Liberty Health & Rehab in Liberty, KY

The funeral service for Margaret Ann Sanders Giles will be at 1pmCT, Sunday, July 15, 2018, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Paul Patton officiating. Burial will be in Tabernacle Cemetery, Tabernacle Cemetery, 91 Tabernacle Cemetery Road, in the Neatsville Community of Columbia, Adair County, KY. Visitation will be 4:30pm-8pmCT on Saturday, July 15, 2018, and after 12pmNoonCT, on Sunday.



Margaret Ann (Sanders) Giles, Adair County, KY (1936-2018)

She was born June 16, 1936, in Adair County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Audy & Annie Campbell Sanders. She died Thursday, July 12, 2018, in Liberty, Casey County, KY, at the age of 82 years, and 26 days.

She was a member of Tabernacle Christian Church and had retired from the Kentucky Department for Social Services as a Service Aide.

Survivors include:
  • Her husband - Nathan Giles of Columbia, KY

  • Three sons - Paul Bryant of Russell Springs, KY; Jeffrey Dale Bryant of Casey County, KY; and Doug Bryant of Columbia, KY

  • Three daughters - Patty Sullivan of Danville, IN, Carol Spears (Danny) of Liberty, and Valeria Taylor of Louisville, KY

  • One brother - Carl Ray Sanders of Louisville, KY

  • Two sisters - Jeanette Stargel of Louisville, KY; and Merial Jean Greer of Liberty, KY

  • Twelve grandchildren

  • Nine great-grandchildren

  • Several nieces and nephews

  • And other relatives and friends
