Adair Fiscal Court 10 Jul 2018 - GRAS has strong June

Director Tammy Campbell delivers report for June 2018 at Adair County Fiscal Court's regular 10 Jul 2018 session. Annualized revenues if all months equal to June would be $31,098.01, down slightly from May 2018, but public support, $550 in donations up. Shelter cat intake up. Adoptions of cats not keeping pace. Court approves request for permission to apply for grant for GRAS for spay/neuter program.

The Adair County Fiscal Court heard another strong report delivered by Tammy Campbell, the shelter's director, who reported $2,591.50

Total collections for the shelter were $3,339.50 for the month.



In the month of June, the printed report listed collections of $1,320.00 for adoptions. Surrenders, $330.00. Donations, $550. Sponsorships of $60. Green County, $264 and Rescue, $67.50 for a total of $2,591.50.

Adoptions for the month were 67. Rescued animals, $9. There were 2 sponsored adoptions.

The report listed 39 dogs and 21 cats from Adair County Dog Warden Jimmy Harmon, and 9 dogs from Green County, KY.

Fiscal court gave permission to Deputy CJE Andrea Waggener to apply for a grant for the shelter's spay neuter program from KY Animal Control Advisory Board, which would pay 50% of procedure's cost. The measure was passed unanimously on a motion by Magistrate Daryl Flatt (2), with a second by Greg Caldwell (6).

Tammy Campbell delivers welcome news from GRAS

With Duo-County Telecom camera on her, monitored by newsman John Thompson, Tammy Campbell delivered another excellent report on the operations of the GRAS, Green River Animal Shelter, which included in its revenues $550 in donation. The report was presented from prepared notes at Fiscal Court's Tuesday, July 10, 2018 regular session, at which time the court granted permission for Deputy County Judge Executive Andrea Waggener to apply for a spay-neuter grant from the State, which could furnish approximately 2% of the shelter's over all cost. - EW
