Dollie D. (Edwards) Nash, 93, Metcalfe County, KY

January 23, 1925 ~ July 9, 2018 (Age 93)
She was a member of Grace Union Baptist Church and was saved at East Fork Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late George & Mary Geneva Nichols Edwards, and the widow of Jackie Nash. She was the matriarch of a large, respected family who adored her and were at her side when she went to be with the Lord. She leaves 26 direct living descendants. Her final resting place will be in New Liberty Cemetery in Metcalfe County, KY.

Dollie D. Nash age 93 went to be with the Lord on July 9, 2018 with her family by her bedside.

Funeral services will be held at 1pmCT, Thursday, July 12, 2018, at Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY, with burial in the New Liberty Cemetery, Metcalfe County, KY. Visitation will be 4pm-8pmCT Wednesday, July 11, 2018, and after 9amCT, Thursday at the funeral home.

She was born January 23, 1925. She was the daughter of the late George & Mary Geneva Nichols Edwards. She died Monday, July 9, 2018, at the age of 93 years, six months, and 16 days.

She is survived by:
  • A son: Jerry Nash of Glasgow, KY

  • Four daughters: Joyce Fields, of Edmonton, KY; Judith Perkins (Mike) of Sulphur Well, KY; and Gloris and Jacquline Nash of Knob Lick, KY

  • Two half-sisters: Sue Huff and Ruby Turner of Greensburg, KY

  • Five grandchildren

  • Thirteen great-grandchildren

  • Three great - great - grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her husband Jackie Nash, a son Jeff Nash, a sister Lou Emma Scott, a brother Woodie Edwards, a son-in-law Donald Fields and a daughter-in-law Eunice Nash.

She was a member of Grace Union Baptist Church and was saved at East Fork Baptist Church.
