Ernest Robert Bell, 74, of Russell Springs, died Wednesday, July 4, 2018 at his home.

Funeral service for Ernest Robert Bell will be at 10amCT, Saturday, July 7, 2018 at the Solid Rock Church, 189 West Drive, Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Wayne Keith and Bro. Troy McWhorter officiating. Visitation will be 4:30pm-8pmCT, Friday, July 6, 2018, at Bernard Funeral Home, 367 N Main Street, Russell Springs, KY, and after 8amCT, Saturday at the church. Interment will be in the Kean Cemetery in Jamestown, KY.

He was born August 6, 1943 in Russell County, KY. He was the son of the late Claude & Alta Simpson Bell. He died July 4, 2018, in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY, at the age of 74 years, 10 months, and two days.

Ernie was a was a plumber & electrician. He was a Veteran of US Army and a member of Solid Rock Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Patty Harvey Bell; son, Anthony Bell; brother, Bobby Bell; four sisters, Mary Lois Bell, Opal Foley, Marge Pickett, and Donna Bell.

Survivors are:
  • His wife: Phyllis Bell, Russell Springs, KY

  • Two children: Lisa (Doug) Capps, Russell Springs, KY; and Robbie Bell, Russell Springs, KY

  • Three grandchildren: Jennifer Renee Bell, Josh Capps, and Adam Capps

  • Three great grandchildren: Andrew Barnett, Samson Capps, and Revan Capps

  • Sisters: Helen Flowers, Florida; Frances Garner, Jamestown, KY; Linda Huddleston, Jamestown, KY; Peggy Popplewell, Jamestown, KY; Deloris (Jackie) Mann, Jamestown, KY; and Carol Claborn, Russell Springs, KY

  • Two brothers: Willie Bell, Florida ; and Stevie (Cathy) Jamestown, KY.
