Rollin William Burriss, age 72 of Greensburg, KY passed away Sunday in Glasgow.

The funeral service will be conducted at 10amCT Thursday, July 5, 2018 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S Main Street, Greensburg, KY, with burial to follow in the Tarter's Chapel Cemetery in Adair County. Bro. Travis Keltner, Bro. Larry Wisdom, and Bro. Dennis Estes officiating. Visitation is requested from 5-8pmCT Wednesday, July 4, 2018 at the funeral home and after 7amCT Thursday until time of the funeral service.



Pallbearers: Brian Burriss, Jackie Burriss, David Burriss, Phillip Burriss, Marcus Kessler, Jeff Suratt, and Danny Wright. Honorary Pallbearers: Cecil Coffey, Gary Burriss, Loy "Man" Jones, Ricky Loyall, Wallace Akin, and Mike Burriss.

Rollin William Burriss, 72, Green County, KY (1946-2018)

He was the son of the late Elic Alexander Burriss & Delzie Parson Burriss, born on Friday, June 14, 1946 in Taylor County, KY and departed this life on Sunday, July 1, 2018 at the Glasgow State Nursing Facility. He was 72 years and 17 days of age.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Tarter's Chapel United Methodist Church. He was also a former school bus driver for the Green County Board of Education, a farmer and a truck driver.

Survived by
  • Three sons: Rollin Christopher Burriss of Greensburg, Kenny Ray Burriss, and Joey Lee Burriss both of Adair County.

  • A sister: Mary Elizabeth Burriss of Edmonton.

  • Host of Grandchildren

  • Caretaker, niece & nephew: Danny and Pam Burriss of Greensburg

  • A host of grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
Mr. Burriss was preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters: Roy Burriss, A.Z. Burriss, Eunie Burriss, Rue Burriss, Bill Burriss, Norene Rowe, Joyce Jean Poole, and Shirley Smith. Send condolences to the family of Rollin William Burriss.
