Markilia Ruth Franklin Gomez, 25, of Columbia, KY, died Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at the University of KY Medical Center, in Lexington, KY.

A gathering of family and friends will be Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at 6pmCT, at the Columbia Christian Church Park, off North Reed Street, Columbia, KY. Cremation was chosen by the family.

She was born October 31, 2018. She was the daughter Carrie Turner Morgan of Sparksville, KY and Mark Franklin and wife Melissa of Sparksville, KY. She died June 19, 2018, in Lexington, Fayette County, KY, at the age of 25 years, seven months, and 19 days.

Survivors include:
  • Her mother - Carrie Turner Morgan of Columbia, KY

  • Her father - Mark Franklin and his wife Melissa of Sparksville, KY

  • Four children - Karissa Mounce, Mary Anna Albarez, Sophia Gomez and Ariel Gomez

  • Two brothers - Dakota Stotts of Columbia, KY, and Timmy Franklin of Russell Springs, KY

  • One sister - Alisha Stotts of Columbia, KY

  • Special uncle and aunt - Coy & Tony Turner of Columbia, KY

  • Several other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends
  • She was preceded in death by her grandparents; Diane Powell, Coy Turner, Sr., William Henry and Bonnie Turner Franklin
