Jean was a member of Solid Rock Church, a former hairdresser, sewing machine operator, bus driver, dairy farmer and currently employed by the Adair County Board of Education as a Baker/Cook. She was a member of an outstanding Adair County, KY, family. She was the daughter of Tina Browning Roberts and the late Richard Roberts, and the widow of Tom Brock, her husband of 43 years. She leaves two direct living descendants.

Rebecca Jean Brock, 61, of the Milltown community of Adair County, died Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at her home.

Funeral service will be at 11amCT, Friday, June 29, 2018 at Solid Rock Church, 189 West Drive, Russell Springs, KY, (behind Lakeway Motors), with Pastor Wayne Keith officiating. Burial will be in Haven Hill Cemetery, 1276 Liberty Road, Columbia, KY. Visitation will be 4:30pm-9pmCT, on Thursday, June 28, 2018, and after 8amCT, Friday, all at Solid Rock Church.

Rebecca Jean (Roberts) Brock, Adair County, KY (1956-2018)


She was born August 18, 1956, in Taylor County, KY. She was the daughter of Tina Browning Roberts and the late Richard Roberts. She died Wednesday, June 27, 2018, in Milltown, Adair County, KY, at the age of 61 years, 10 months, and nine days.

She was preceded in death by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Clarence and Esther Brock and her beloved husband, Tom Brock, on October 11, 2017.

Jean was a member of Solid Rock Church, a former hairdresser, sewing machine operator, bus driver, dairy farmer and currently employed by the Adair County Board of Education as a Baker/Cook.

Survivors include:
  • One daughter and son-in-law - Jennifer and Anand Varahala of Morrisville, NC

  • One granddaughter - Aarini Brock Varahala

  • Her mother - Tina Roberts of Columbia, KY

  • Two brothers - Steve (Tracey) Roberts of Glasgow, KY, and James (Marsha) Roberts of Columbia, KY

  • Brothers-in-law - James (Kay) Brock of Bowling Green, KY; and Ralph (Dean) Brock of Campbellsville, KY

  • Sisters-in-law - Sheila (Jerry) Kinslow of Glasgow, KY; Shirley (Buddy) Stilts, Doris (Barney) Janes, Darlene (Robert) Baker all of Milltown, KY

  • Special friends - Pastor Wayne and Jean Keith of Russell Springs, KY

  • Several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends
