Carol Montgomery, 77, formerly of Taylor Co., KY (1941-2018)

She was a dedicated homemaker who loved her family very much. She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Mt. Beulah United Methodist Church in Hart County. Her husband Ed Montgomery survives. She leaves 10 direct and seven step living descendants.

Carol Montgomery of Munfordville, KY, formerly of Campbellsville, KY, died Tuesday, June 19, 2018 in Munfordville at age 77.

Funeral services will be held at 2pmCT/3pmET Sunday, June 24, 2018 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY by Rev. Mark Jones and Rev. John Blakey. Visitation will be from 4-7pmCT/5-8pmET Saturday, June 23, 2018 and after 10amCT/11amET Sunday, June 24, 2018 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens, 700 Old US 68, Campbellsville, KY.



Carol Montgomery, 77, formerly of Taylor County, KY (1941-2018)

Carol Montgomery, daughter of the late Homer Kearney & Mary Helen McNear Kearney Browning, was born February 23, 1941, in Taylor County, KY. She died Tuesday, June 19, 2018 in Munfordville at the age of 77 years, three months, and 27 days.

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Mt. Beulah United Methodist Church in Hart County.

Carol was a dedicated homemaker who loved her family very much.

She united in marriage to Ed Montgomery August 7, 1959.

She is survived by
  • Her husband Ed Montgomery, Munfordville, KY

  • Three daughters: Sherry Mason and husband, Joe of Charlotte, North Carolina, Cindy Hughes and husband, Scott of Bowling Green, KY; and Tonya Montgomery and Ronney Calton of Lexington, KY

  • Four grandchildren: Trey Mason and wife, Lina of Charlotte, NC, Josh Jewell and Nick Jewell of Louisville, KY and Ashley Scott of Bowling Green, KY

  • Four step-grandchildren: Emily Miller and husband, Nick of Paducah, Jon Hughes of Nashville, TN, Matt Hughes and wife, Hannah of Cleveland, TN and Zach Hughes of Nashville, TN

  • Three great-grandchildren: Aislyn Jewell and Adaleigh Jewell of Louisville, KY; and John Mason of Charlotte, NC

  • Three step-great-grandchildren: Chloe Miller and Elliot Miller of Paducah, KY; and Lilly Hughes of Cleveland, TN

  • Three brothers and one sister: Larry Kearney and wife, Betty of Campbellsville, KY; Mike Kearney and wife, Stephanie of Groesbeck, TX; Ralph Kearney and wife, Carolyn of Cox's Creek and Darlene Perkins of Frankfort, KY

  • Several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Phyllis Phillips and husband, Wayne Phillips.
