James Paul "Buck" Bell age 86, of Danville, KY formerly of Liberty passed away on Thursday May 31, 2018 at the Danville Center for Health and Rehab, Danville, KY.

Funeral Services will be held 2pmCT/3pmET, Saturday June 2, 2018 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY, with Rev. Buel Hayes officiating. Burial will be in the Salem Cemetery. Visitation will be held starting 10:30amCT/11:30amET, Saturday, June 2, 2018 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel.



James Paul (Buck) Bell, 86, Danville, KY/Creston, KY native (1931-2018)


He was born in Creston, Casey County, KY on August 18, 1931. He was a son of the late John E. & Ethel Wethington Bell. He died Thursday, May 31, 2018, in Danville, Boyle County, KY, at the age of 86 years, nine months, and 13 days.

He was the widower of Tonnie E. Miller Bell who passed away on January 17, 2014.

Buck was a sawmill employee.

Survivors include:
  • Two sisters: Agnes Hogue and Lucille Giles both of Liberty, KY

  • Several nieces and nephews

  • One aunt: Kathleen Heckman of Liberty, KY
Preceding him in death besides his parents and spouse was one brother, Junior Bell and one sister, Faye Lynch.
