Linda Davidson Graves, Cumberland County, KY (1943-2018)

She was a member of Grider United Methodist Church, Marrowbone United Methodist Church and was a seamstress. She was the daughter of the late Millard & Maggie Froedge Davidson, and the widow of Preston Howard "Pete" Graves. She leaves four direct living descendants.

Mrs. Linda Davidson Graves, 75, of Burkesville, KY, passed away on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at the Greenview Hospital in Bowling Green, KY.

The funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, June 2, 2018, at 1pmCT, in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home, 601 N Main Street, Burkesville, KY. Burial will be in the Marrowbone Cemetery in Marrowbone, KY. The family will receive friends at the funeral home after 3pmCT on Friday, June 1, 2018 until the funeral hour on Saturday.



Mrs. Linda Davidson Graves, Cumberland County, KY (1943-2018)


She was born in Waterview, Cumberland County, KY on Tuesday, January 19, 1943. She was the daughter of Millard & Maggie Froedge Davidson. She died Tuesday, May 29, 2018, in Bowling Green, Warren County, KY, at the age of 75 years, four months and 10 days.

She was a member of Grider United Methodist Church, Marrowbone United Methodist Church and was a seamstress.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Preston Howard "Pete" Graves, whom she wed on Saturday, August 1, 1959; her son, Kevin Gale "Spivy" Graves; her sister, Jewell L. Lowery Davidson; and her father-in-law, Limb and mother-in-law, Delcie "Mama" Graves. She is survived by:
  • Her two children: Teresa (and Darrell) Sneed of Bowling Green, KY; and Tara Graves-Murphy of Bowling Green, KY

  • Her daughter-in-law: Kathy Guffey Graves of Burkesville, KY

  • Her son-in-law: John Murphy of Bowling Green, KY

  • Her sisters: Judy Willis of Burkesville, KY; and Vivian Davidson of Tucson, AZ

  • Her two grandchildren: Amy Sneed and Justin (and Darcy) Graves

  • Several nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews

  • And a host of many other relatives and friends
