Carl W. Loy, 91 Taylor County, KY (1925-2018) August 13, 1926 ~ May 26, 2018 (Age 91) He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Mannsville United Methodist Church. Mr. Loy retired from the General Electric plant in Louisville after 30+ years of service. He was a Kentucky Colonel, a veteran of the United States Air Force, a farmer, and a talented bluegrass musician, and had won the Best Banjo Picker at the Sorghum Festival in Springfield. He was the patriarch of a respected family, the son of the late Henry C. & Estill (Gribbins) Loy. His wife of nearly 67 years, Mrs. Helen Marie Mings Loy, survives. There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Loy on Tuesday, May 28, 2018 at 10amCT/11amET, in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Road, Campbellsville, KY. Bro. John Hall will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Callahan Cemetery at Feathersburg in Adair County, at 4571 Speck Ridge Road, Campbellsville, KY.
