Joe Stephen Acree, 77, Metcalfe County, KY (1940-2018) August 8, 1940 ~ May 24, 2018 (Age 77) He was a member of a large Metcalfe County family and a member of the Edmonton United Methodist Church. He was a retired toll plaza employee at the Edmonton exit on the Cumberland Parkway. His wife Lois Acree preceded him in death seven months ago on October 2, 2017 at the age of 74. Joe was preceded in death by all five of his siblings, brothers: Edward, Preston, Buddy and Jimmy Acree, and his sister, Elaine Warren. Funeral services will be held 1pmCT Monday, May 28, 2018 at Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY with burial in the Metcalfe County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 5pmCT until 8pmCT Sunday, May 27, 2018 and after 9amCT Monday until the time of the service at the funeral home. Joe Stephen Acree, 77, Metcalfe County, KY (1940-2018) He was born August 8, 1940. He was the son of the late Sherman & Flora Romines Acree. He died Thursday, May 24, 2018, in Glasgow, Barren County, KY, at the age of 77 years, nine months, and 16 days. Joe was a member of the Edmonton Methodist Church. He is survived by a niece Jeanie Durbin of Louisville. Besides his parents and his wife, Lois, Joe was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister: Edward, Preston, Buddy and Jimmy Acree and Elaine Warren.
