LWC College Gala Concert this Sun 6 May 2018 By Gerald Chafin The Lindsey Wilson College Gala Concert is this Sunday evening, May 6, at 6:30pmCT, hosted by the Columbia Christian Church, 206 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY. The Gala Concert is our musical gift to the Columbia/Adair County community celebrating the repertoire achievements of Lindsey Wilson College choral ensembles and our special collaboration of nearly 20 years with The Louisville Symphony. Working with the instrumentalists of the symphony is a remarkable experience. The concert features all our choral students, the LWC Concert Choir & LWC Singers in performance of a masterwork. In addition to several shorter choral works, this concerts includes the Georg Philipp Telemann (1681-1767) Laudate Jehovam, a setting of Psalm 117, in three sections, G-minor, E-flat major, and B-flat major, each in a unique sonority. Also included in the concert is the Mozart Piano Concerto #23 in A-major. This three-movement work will feature Jesse LaGrange of Burkesville, KY along with Lindsey Wilson College music professor Dr. Robert Reynolds . LaGrange is a student of Dr. Reynolds and he will open the concert the concert with the first movement. Dr. Reynolds will perform the second and third movements.
