Ruth Ann Blackwell, 66, Taylor Co., KY/Adair Co., KY native (1952-2018)

She had retired from Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville, KY. She was a member of an outstanding Adair County, KY, family. She was the daughter of the late Robert & Ruth Winifred Williams Blackwell, Sr., with her passing, nine of the 11 children born to Robert & Ruth survive. Ruth Ann Blackwell's final resting place will be in Haven Hill Cemetery, Columbia, Adair County, KY

The funeral service for Ruth Ann Blackwell will be at 2pmCT, Saturday April 21, 2018, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY with Bro. Gene Norris the officiating clergy. Interment will be in Haven Hill Cemetery, 1276 Liberty Road, Columbia, KY. Visitation will be after 11amCT, Saturday, April 21, 2016, at the funeral home.



Pallbearers: Dale Blackwell, Ronnie Blackwell, Charlie Blackwell, Keith Blackwell, and Kelly Blackwell.

She was born on March 16, 1952 in Columbia, Adair County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Robert and Ruth Winifred Williams Blackwell Sr. She died Wednesday, April 18, 2018, in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY, at the age of 66 years, one month, and two days. Preceded in death by one brother, Robert Blackwell Jr.

She retired from Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville

She is survived by:
  • Four sisters: Rannie Blackwell of Columbia, KY; Marilyn Blackwell of Louisville, KY; Sharon B. Brown of Prospect, KY; and Judy Lewis (James) Bardstown, KY

  • Five Brothers: Ronnie Blackwell of Greensburg, KY; Dale Blackwell of Columbia, KY; Charlie Frank (Deborah) Blackwell of Louisville, KY; Keith Blackwell of Louisville, KY; Kelly (Beth) Blackwell of Louisville, KY

  • Sister-in-law: Cynthia Blackwell of Bowling Green, KY

  • Several nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends
