Stephanie Janice Helm, 86, of Russell Springs, died Sunday, April 15, 2018 at her home.

Funeral service for Janice Helm will be 11amCT, Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 N Main Street, with Bro. Billy Silverman officiating. Visitation will be after 9amCT, Wednesday, at the funeral home. Interment in the Bernard Cemetery in Russell County, KY.

She was born January 28, 1932 in Russell County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Urias & Ora Stephens. She died Sunday, April 15, 2018, in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY, at the age of 86 years, two months, and 18 days.

Janice was a caretaker for the elderly. She was a member of Parks Ridge Church of God.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Geneva Shearer and Vircena Hadley; and a brother, Urias "Deedle" Stephens.

Survivors:
  • Her two daughters: Sonya Roy, and Stephanie Stephens both of Russell Springs, KY

  • Her three grandchildren: Timothy Roy, Tabitha Roy, and Joseph Payne

  • Her four great grandchildren

  • Her four brothers: Teddy (Betty) Stephens, Bobby Stephens, John Edward (Glenna) Stephens, and Dale Stephens, all of Russell Springs, KY
