William 'Bill' Hall, 61, Taylor County, KY (1956-2018)

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Saloma Baptist Church. He united in marriage to Deborah Thompson January 1, 1984, who survives. He was employed by the Campbellsville Fire Department from 1978-2012; retired as Assistant Chief of the Campbellsville Fire Department and was an active volunteer for Campbellsville-Taylor County Fire Departments. He was Regional Director of the Kentucky Firefighter Association.

William 'Bill' Hall died at 3:53pmET Wednesday, April 11, 2018 in Campbellsville, KY at age 61.

Visitation is from 4-7pmCT/5-8pmET Friday, April 13, 2018 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY. The funeral service will be held at 12noonCT/1pmET, Saturday, April 14, 2018 at the funeral home by Rev. John Chowning, Rev. Ronnie Dooley and Rev. Daniel Cook. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Kelvin Beard, Keith Bricken, Randy Bricken, Sr., Bob Buckner, Jimmy Cox, Dale Gorley, A.J. Johnson, and Matt Porter. Honorary Pallbearers will be Firefighters and all first responders (Fire, EMS, Law Enforcement & Telecommunicators).

William 'Bill' Hall of Campbellsville, KY, son of the late Robert Dorsey Hall and Arbell Gupton Hall, was born November 6, 1956, in Taylor County, KY. He died at 3:53pmCT, Wednesday, April 11, 2018 in Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY at age 61 years, five months, and five days.

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Saloma Baptist Church. He participated in the choir and was head of the Safety and Security Committee.

He was employed by the Campbellsville Fire Department from 1978-2012; retired as Assistant Chief of the Campbellsville Fire Department and was an active volunteer for Campbellsville-Taylor County Fire Departments.

Bill was Regional Director of the Kentucky Firefighter Association and was on the Firefighter Association Hall of Fame Committee and worked with the Firefighter Explorer Program for many years. He was also Chairman of the Local Emergency Planning Committee.

He is survived by
  • His wife: Deborah Hall of Campbellsville, KY

  • One daughter: Becky Hall of Metcalfe County, KY

  • One brother and two sisters: Doug Hall and wife, Lisa of Westminister, CO; Barbara D. Hall and spouse, Becky Powers of Louisville, KY; and Melinda Hayes of Campbellsville, KY

  • Several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Hall French.
