Hazel Bastin, 87, Casey County, KY (1930-2018)

She was a former Supervisor for Liberty Sportswear and Osh Kosh B'Gosh and a member of First Church of God in Stanford. She was the daughter of the late Clem and Ruth Coleman Pike. Her husband Paul Ferris Bastin survives. She leaves 20 direct living descendants. Her final resting place will be in Middleburg, Casey County, KY.

Hazel Bastin age 87, of Yosemite, KY passed away on Tuesday April 3, 2018 at the Jean Waddle Care Center, Somerset, KY.

Funeral Services will be held 12pmNoonCT/1pmET Saturday, April 7, 2018, at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel, 142 KY 49, Liberty, KY, with Rev. Dwight Coffman officiating. Burial will in the Middleburg Cemetery. Visitation will be 5pm-8pmCT/6pm-9pmET, Friday April 6, 2018 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel.



Hazel Bastin, 87, Casey County, KY (1930-2018)

She was born in Yosemite, Casey County, KY, on October 9, 1930. She was a daughter of the late Clem and Ruth Coleman Pike. She died Tuesday, April 3, 2018, in Somerset, Pulaski County, KYm at the age of 87 years, five months, and 25 days.

She was a former Supervisor for Liberty Sportswear and Osh Kosh B'Gosh and a member of First Church of God in Stanford.

Survivors include:
  • Her spouse: Paul Ferris Bastin

  • Two sons: Herbert Wayne and (Tammy) Bastin of Somerset, KY; and Michael Steven and (Jan) Bastin of Dunnville, KY

  • Six grandchildren: Patrick Bastin, Allison Bastin-Muse, Jonathan Bastin, Jason Bastin, Aaron Anderson and Zack Bastin

  • Twelve great grandchildren

  • Three sisters: Mable Filer of Cincinnati, Ohio; Agnes Guy of Bethel, Ohio; and Margie Patrick of Cincinnati, Ohio
Preceding her in death besides her parents were her first spouse: Herbert Bastin and one brother: Chester Pike.
