Vena Wethington, 75, Liberty, KY (1942-2018)

She was a homemaker and member of St. Bernard Catholic Church. She loved quilting and reading. Vena also enjoyed watching red birds. She was member of a respected South Central Kentucky family, a native of Casey County, KY, a resident of the county at the time of her death, and her final resting place will be in Clementsville, Casey County, KY. the daughter of the late Murrell and Cyrilla Jane Wethington.

Vena Wethington, 75, of Liberty, KY, passed away Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at her home.

Memorial services are at 10amCT/11amET, Monday, April 2, 2018 at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 5041 State Hwy 551, Liberty, KY, in the Clementsville community of Casey County, with Deacon Joe Dant officiating. Burial will follow in the Church cemetery beside the church. Visitation will be 8am-10amCT/9am-11amET, Monday at the church.



Vena Wethington, 65, Liberty, KY (1942-2018)


Born April 8, 1942 in Casey County, KY, she was a daughter of the late Murrell and Cyrilla Jane Wethington. She died Tuesday, March 27, 2018, in Liberty, Casey County, KY, at the age of 75 years, 11 months, and 16 days.

Vena was a homemaker and member of St. Bernard Catholic Church She loved quilting and reading. Vena also enjoyed watching red birds.

Survivors include:
  • One brother: David (Myrna) Wethington of Cincinnati, Ohio

  • Two sisters: Roberta Price and Janet (Ronald) Davis, both of Liberty, KY

  • One sister-in-law: Nancy Wethington of Cincinnati, Ohio

  • And 15 nieces and nephews
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Bradford Wethington; a sister-in-law, Carol Wethington; and a brother-in-law, Junior Price.
