Maggie Juanita Calhoun, 69, Campbellsville, KY (1948-2018)

She professed faith in Christ and was of the Church of God faith. In her pastime she loved playing cards and bingo and spending time with her family and friends. She was a native of Taylor County, KY, the daughter of the late Otha Dewey Hughes & Eliza Stanton Hughes. She was a member of a very large, respected family, numbering 16. With her passing, two siblings survive. Her final resting place will be at Feathersburg, Adair County, KY.

Maggie Juanita Calhoun of Campbellsville, KY, died at 1:29amET, Saturday, March 17, 2018 in Campbellsville. Age: 69

The funeral service will be at 10amCT/11amET, Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY, by Bro. Paul Pike. Burial will be in in Feathersburg, Adair County, KY, in the Callahan Cemetery, 4571 Speck Ridge Road, Elk Horn, KY. Visitation will be 4pm-7pmCT/5pm-8pmET, Monday, March 19, 2018, at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.

Maggie Juanita Calhoun was the daughter of the late Otha Dewey Hughes & Eliza Stanton Hughes. She was born June 30, 1948 in Taylor County, KY. She died at Saturday, March 17, 2018 in Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY, at the age of 69 years, eight months, and 17 days.

Juanita professed faith in Christ and was of the Church of God faith. In her past time she loved playing cards and bingo and spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by:
  • One daughter and two sons: Becky Warren of Campbellsville, KY; Jimmy Calhoun & wife, Deronda of Elkhorn, KY; and Marty Calhoun & wife, Kelley of Magnolia, KY

  • Six grandchildren: James Calhoun, Maggie Calhoun and fiance, Ryan Bailey; Jacob Warren, Katelyn Calhoun and fiance, Steven Hammond; Cody Calhoun and Cheyenne Warren

  • Three great-grandchildren: Lexie DeSpain, Kyler Calhoun and Tucker Calhoun

  • One sister: Faye Stants of Campbellsville, KY; one brother, Alfred Hughes & wife, Opal of Franklin, IN

  • Several nieces and nephews

  • And many other relatives and friends
She was also preceded in death by eight brothers and five sisters: Ray Hughes, John Hughes, Bill Hughes, Jimmy Mike Hughes, J.B. Hughes, Delbert Lee Hughes, Rufus "Bootie" Hughes, Moore "Dugan" Hughes, Sue Harris, Zelma Mae Gardner, Mary Lesley, Lillie Hughes and Sylvia Hughes.
