Linda Christine Pittman Eldridge, Metcalfe Co., KY (1952-2018)

was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She attended the Steadfast Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late Leonard Curtis Slater & Martha Christine Spradley Johns and the widow of Willie Ross Pittman. She was a resident of Mt. Sherman, KY at the time of her death there. Her final resting place will be in Foundation Cemetery, Edmonton, Metcalfe County, KY. She leaves 18 direct living descendants, with a strong presence in Metcalfe County, KY, and elsewhere

Linda Christine Pittman Eldridge, age 65 of Mount Sherman, KY, passed away at her home on Tuesday, February 27, 2018.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 2, 2018, at 1pmCT, at Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY, with burial in the Foundation Cemetery, Edmonton, KY. Visitation will be 4pm-8pmCT, Thursday, March 1, 2018, and on Friday from 9amCT until the time of service.



Linda Christine Pittman Eldridge, Metcalfe Co., KY (1952-2018)

She was the daughter of the late Leonard Curtis Slater & Martha Christine Spradley Johns. She was born July 19, 1952. She died Tuesday, February 27, 2018, in Mt. Sherman, KY, at the age of 65 years, seven months, and 10 days.

Her husband, Willie Ross Pittman, survives.

Linda was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She attended the Steadfast Baptist Church.

She is survived by:
  • One son: Thomas (Carla) Blair of Sulphur Well, KY

  • Three daughters; Jennifer (Stuart) Chaney of Mount Sherman, KY; Brenda Pittman of Stuart, FL; and Christina (Timothy) Walbert of Edmonton, KY

  • Three brothers, Eugene (Jan) Slater and Howard (Pat) Slater both from Edmonton, KY; and Herbie (Joy) Slater of Florida

  • One sister: Christine (Greg) Phillips of Jackson, TN

  • Ten grandchildren

  • Four great grandchildren
Linda was proceeded in death by her parents; and one sister, Brenda Lee Pittman.
