Alice Marie Cox Humes, 43, Taylor Co., KY (1975-2018)

She attended Campbellsville University and Spencerian College where she received her degree as a Certified Nursing Assistant. In her spare time, she enjoyed the outdoors, listening to music and dancing. She had been attending Elkhorn Baptist Church. She was a native of Ft. Wayne, IN, and a resident of Campbellsville, KY, at the time of her death. Her husband, James William Humes, survives. She leaves four direct and one step- living descendants.

Alice Marie Cox Humes, 43 of Campbellsville, KY formerly of Fort Wayne, IN, died Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at Taylor County Hospital, Campbellsville.

Funeral Service for Alice Marie Cox will be Friday, February 16, 2018 at 12pmNoonCT/1pmET, at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home, 503 E Main Street, Campbellsville, KY, with Brian Rafferty officiating. Burial will follow in Jones Chapel Cemetery, Taylor County, KY, with bearers being Buddy Tate, Tommy Price, T.J. Milby, Tyler Goodin, Dawson Adcock and James Price. Visitation will be 4pm-7pmCT/5pm-8pmET, Thursday, February 15, 2018, at Lyon DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home.

Marie was born on January 19, 1975, in Fort Wayne, Allen County, IN. She was the the daughter of the late Carmen, J.V. Cox and Dawn Kay Trout Cox. She died Tuesday, February 13, 2018, in Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY, at the age of 43 years, and 25 days.

She attended Campbellsville University and Spencerian College where she received her degree as a Certified Nursing Assistant. In her spare time, she enjoyed the outdoors, listening to music and dancing. She had been attending Elkhorn Baptist Church.

Besides her mother, Marie is survived by:
  • Her husband: James William Humes, Campbellsville, KY

  • A daughter: Chelsey Adcock, Campbellsville, KY

  • Three sons: Dawson Adcock, C.J. Cox and Harley Rodgers, Campbellsville, KY

  • Her step-daughter: Brooklyn Humes. Campbellsville, KY

  • A brother: Jeremy Cox of Campbellsville, KY

  • Her grandparents: Paul & Jonita Trout of Indiana
