Mrs. Renata Roosgen Harless, 90, Green County, KY (1927-2018)

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Greensburg Church of Christ. She was a native of Wuppertal, Germany, and a resident of Greensburg, KY, at the time of her death. She was the daughter of Mr. Romanus Rusgen & Mrs. Mathilda Becker Rusgen and the widow of Mr. Clinton Nathan Harless, her husband of 45 years. She leaves nine direct living descendants. She will be laid to rest in the Lebanon National Cemetery in Marion County, KY.

Mrs. Renata Roosgen Harless, 90, Greensburg, KY, departed this life on Friday, February 9, 2018 at her residence in Greensburg.

The funeral services for Mrs. Renata Rusgen Harless, will be conducted at 10amCT, Monday, February 12, at the Cowherd & Parrott Funeral Home in Greensburg, KY. Bro. Craig Waddle will be officiating. Visitation is requested from 4pm until 8pmCT, Sunday, February 11, 2018, and after 7amCT, Monday until time of service at the Cowherd & Parrott Funeral Home in Greensburg, 206 S Main Street, Greensburg, KY. A Graveside service will be conducted Monday at 12:30pmCT/1:30pmET, in Marion County at the Lebanon National Cemetery, 20 Hwy 208, Lebanon, KY.

Mrs. Renata Roosgen Harless was the daughter of the late Mr. Romanus Rusgen & Mrs. Mathilda Becker Rusgen. She was born Monday, December 22, 1927 in Wuppertal, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. She died Friday, February 9, 2018 at her residence in Greensburg, Green County, KY. She was 90 years, 1 month, and 28 days of age.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Greensburg Church of Christ.

She united in marriage to Mr. Clinton Nathan Harless on Wednesday, April 9, 1952, who departed this life on Monday, May 12, 1997.

Mrs. Harless is survived by:
  • Two daughters and a son-in-law: Anita Harless of Texas and Lorraine & Billy Dangerfield of Greensburg, KY

  • Four grandchildren and a spouse: Shiloh Harless of Missouri, Annette Dangerfield of Berea, KY; Eric & Ashley Harless of Kansas, and Charles Cann III

  • Three great grandchidren: Alanna Harless, Arissa Harless and Drake Harless

  • and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Ilonka "Tootsie" Harless Cann; one brother and one sister.
