Judy Richards, 66, Columbia, KY (1951-2018)

She was a former nursing assistant at Westlake Regional Hospital and was a homemaker. She was a native of Adair County, KY, and a resident of the county at the time of her death. She was a member of a highly regarded family. She was the daughter of the late Howard & Nannie Etta Burton Overstreet, and the widow of Ted Richards. She leaves seven direct living descendants.

Judy Richards, 66 years of Columbia, KY passed away Friday, February 2, 2018 at her home after a long illness.

Funeral service will be Monday, February 5, 2018 at 7pmCT, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY. Clergy officiating will be Bro. Gary Tucker. Visitation will be after 3pmCT Monday at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home.

She was born December 6, 1951 in Knifley, Adair County, KY. She was the daughter of the late, Howard & Nannie Etta Burton Overstreet of Adair County, KY. She died Friday, February 2, 2018, in Columbia, Adair County, KY, at the age of 66 years, one month, and 27 days.

Judy was a former nursing assistant at Westlake Regional Hospital and was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ted Richards, on February 13, 2015 and one brother Mark Overstreet.

She is survived by:
  • Two daughters: Tresa Ratliff (Greg) of Columbia, KY; and Lisa Boston and fiancee Ruben Smith of Columbia, KY

  • Two brothers: Dwight Overstreet of Knifley, KY; and Jimmy (Karen) Overstreet of Knifley, KY

  • Seven sisters: Frances (Eventis) Warren of Knifley, KY; Regina Burchett of Campbellsville, KY; Sandra Thewlis of Columbia, KY; Charlotte (Ricky) Hardin of Knifley, KY; Kimberly Bray of Lakeland, GA; Tracy (Joe) Bray of Campbellsville, KY; and Stacy Overstreet of Liberty, KY.

  • Five grandchildren: Shauna Nunn, Sara Davis, Brooklyn Smith, Jasmyn Smith, and Piper Franklin

  • Several nieces and nephews and a host of relatives and friends
