Lenn R. Pruitt, Green County, KY (1933-2018)

He was a member and former Elder of the Greensburg Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He served in the United States Army during the Korean war. He was a member of the Greensburg Masonic Lodge #54 F & AM, a Shriner, a member of the Lexington Oleika Shrine Temple, Royal Order of Jesters, a Greensburg Rotarian, Past President of the Greensburg Rotary, member and Past Commander of the Greensburg VFW Post 5813, member of the Rod Lowe American Legion Post #124, on the Board of Trustees of Lindsey Wilson College. He was in the private education field for 25 years, former owner of the Kentucky Burley Tobacco Warehouse 1 and 2, owned several radio stations in Kentucky, rental property owner in Greensburg, and was previous co-owner of the South Central KY MRI.

Lenn R. Pruitt, departed this life Friday, January 26, 2018 at the Thrive Assisted Living and Memory Care in Watkinsville, GA.

The funeral service will be at Greensburg Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Greensburg, KY, at 12pmNoonCT, Tuesday, January 30, 2018 with Rev. Kevin Brantley and Rev. Matthew Ingram officiating. Entombment will be Greensburg Mausoleum. Visitation will be 5pm-8pmCT, Monday, January 29, 2018, 5 p.m.- 8 p.m. Monday and after 7amCT, Tuesday at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home, 209 W Court Street, Greensburg, KY and after 9amCT, Tuesday at the Greensburg Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Lenn R. Pruitt, Green County, KY (1933-2018)

Lenn R. Pruitt was born March 21, 1933 in Green County, KY. He was the son of the late Willie Clyde "Jouk" Pruitt & Willie Ellen Morgan. He departed this life Friday, January 26, 2018 at the Thrive Assisted Living and Memory Care in Watkinsville, GA, having attained the age of 84 years, 10 months and five days.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member and former Elder of the Greensburg Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He served in the United States Army during the Korean war. He was a member of the Greensburg Masonic Lodge #54 F & AM, a Shriner, a member of the Lexington Oleika Shrine Temple, Royal Order of Jesters, a Greensburg Rotarian, Past President of the Greensburg Rotary, Member and Past Commander of the Greensburg VFW Post 5813, member of the Rod Lowe American Legion Post #124, on the Board of Trustees of Lindsey Wilson College, he was in the private education field for 25 years, former owner of the Kentucky Burley Tobacco Warehouse 1 and 2, owned several radio stations in Kentucky, rental property owner in Greensburg, and was previous co-owner of the South Central KY MRI.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one son, Lenn R Pruitt, Jr; six brothers and two sisters, Robert E. Lee Pruitt, James L. Pruitt, who was killed during WWII; Clyde Thomas, David Glenn, Clifford Graham and Clifton Wayne Pruitt, Martha Ellen Pruitt Thompson, and Mary Helen Pruitt Thompson.

He is survived by his wife Mary Ellen Pruitt and:
  • One son and daughter-in-law: Eddie and Lisa Pruitt of Campbellsville, KY

  • One daughter: Cindy and Steve Prosser of McDonough, GA

  • Three sisters-in-law: Maxideen and Lana Pruitt, both of Greensburg, KY; and Jane Pruitt of Glasgow, KY

  • Six grandchildren: Christina Prosser, Sarah Hanson, Daniel Prosser, John Michael Prosser, Westin Pruitt and Kaitlyn Pruitt

  • Plus a host of other relatives and friends.
