Evelyn Pike, Campbellsville, KY (1922-2018)

Evelyn professed faith in Christ and was a dedicated member of Green River Memorial Baptist Church where she spent years as the pianist. During her time teaching Sunday School there, she led many children to the Lord. She was a native of Harlan County, KY, and a resident of Taylor County, KY, at the time of her death. She was the widow of Coy Pike. Her final resting place will be in Taylor County.

Evelyn Pike, 95, of Campbellsville, KY, died at 11:43pmET, Sunday, January 21, 2018 in Louisville, KY.

The funeral service will be at 1pmCT/2pmET, Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at Green River Memorial Baptist Church, 3441 Old Columbia Road, Campbellsville, KY Campbellsville by Rev. Don Gowin, Rev. A. Landon Hadley and Rev. Jamie Bennett. Burial will be in Green River Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be 5pm-7pmCT/5pm-8pmET, Tuesday, January 23, 2018, and 6pm-12pmNoonCT/7am-1pmET, Wednesday at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY.

Evelyn Pike of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Russell Williams & Nancy Hoskins Williams, was born October 3, 1922, in Harlan County, KY. She died at , Sunday, January 21, 2018 in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY, at the age of 95 years, three months, and 18 days.

Evelyn professed faith in Christ and was a dedicated member of Green River Memorial Baptist Church where she spent years as the pianist. During her time teaching Sunday School there, she led many children to the Lord.

She united in marriage to Coy Pike August 23, 1941 and he preceded her in death May 4, 1994.

She is survived by:
  • Two granddaughters: Sherry Willis and husband, Scott of Aberdeen, NC; and Lisa Cox of Louisville, KY

  • Two great-grandsons: Josh Rose and wife, Lauren of Versailles, KY; and Brandon Read of Bowling Green, KY

  • Two brothers: Paul Williams & wife, Pat; and Barry Williams & wife Cheryl

  • Her adopted family: Jan Hayes, Joyce Wilson and Dean & Juanita Antle

  • And many other relatives and friends
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Teresa Roberts, October 23, 2012 and one brother and one sister, Edward Williams and Jeanette Walker.
