Mr. James Richard Scott, of Burkesville, KY, passed away on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at his residence in Burkesville, KY, having attained the age of 63 years, 5 months, and 10 days.

The funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at 11:30amCT, in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home, 601 N Main Street, Burkesvile, KY, with burial in the Liberty Cemetery in Cumberland County, Kentucky. The family will receive friends after 10amCT, on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 until the funeral hour.

He was born in Burkesville, KY on Tuesday, August 10, 1954. He was the son of Ray Douglas Scott & Lydia (Prewitt) Scott. He died Saturday, January 20, 2018, in Burkesville, Cumberland County, KY, at the age of 63 years, five months, and 10 days,

He was of Church of Christ faith, attended Burkesville Church of Christ, and was an Accountant for Manning Motors.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by:
  • His aunt: Lois Coffey of Burkesville, KY

  • His uncle: Roger Scott of Albany, KY

  • Several cousins

  • Special friends: Christie Wray, Margaret Vibbert, Lind Keen, Barbara Stearns, Junior Branham, and Dovie Melton
