Izzie Brooks, Taylor Co., KY, (1933-2018)

She was the daughter of the late Larkin F & Leota Mary Jane Hincher Brooks. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses and worked as a waitress in her career.

Izzie Brooks departed this life on Friday, January 12, 2018 at her home in Campbellsville, KY.

At the request of Mrs. Brooks, cremation rites were entrusted to L.R. Petty Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Campbellsville, KY.

There will be no formal services at this time.

Izzie Brooks, the daughter of the late Larkin F and Leota Mary Jane Hincher Brooks, was born Monday, January 30, 1933 in Traphill, NC and departed this life on Friday, January 12, 2018 in Campbellsville, KY at her home. She was 84 years, 11 months and 14 days of age.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses and was a former waitress.

She is survived by
  • Her children: Samuel David Brooks of Campbellsville, KY; BeeBee Parker of Kansas, Thomas Brooks and Elsie Rachel Garcia both of California; Donald Brooks and Peggy Sue Hayes, both of Texas; and John Brooks of North Carolina

  • A host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
Besides her parents, Mrs. Brooks was preceded in death by a son, Glenn E. Hayes, and by all eight of her siblings.

At the request of Mrs. Brooks, cremation rites were entrusted to The L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Road, Campbellsville, KY. There will be no formal services at this time.
